July

This month there is a lot of pruning to tackle. For a continuous and colourful flower display dead heading is a job to keep on top of. Early summer flowering shrubs that can be pruned are dogwood, lilac and, snowball, wisteria, viburnum, red Robin, and tamarix. It is the ideal time for pruning trees such as maples and birch that are prone to bleeding.
